UPDATE 21 | 02 | 2015

I just keep getting lazier and lazier...

Happy Chinese New Year!

So right now I am at my aunt's house in another state far away from home and the wifi here is terrible. However, for future me's sake, I am going to sit down, bear with this poor wifi connection and type out a post.

Hmmm, where should I start...

1. My exams have been postponed to 3rd of March ( thank goodness for that ).

2. My aunt- who lives in America - came to our house last Friday to join us on our road trip back to her and my dad's hometown. She bought lots of shirts for Em and I, but in the end she took 'em all 'cause I couldn't wear ALL of the shirts my aunt bought. The good thing though, is that I can wear the white shorts she bought for me.

Other things my aunt bought include: golden oreos ( yummm.. ), Pop tarts, chocolate with fruits inside and Kipling bags.

3. My siblings and I skipped 2 days of classes 'cause why not.

4. On the first day of Chinese New Year, I had to wake up early to take a "shower" in a blanket-like cloth(?) in our front yard along with my other relatives. We weren't allowed to wear our shirts so everyone- including me, albeit reluctantly- was half naked. Early in the morning. Can you imagine how cold that was?

So there was this huge bucket filled with water and everyone- from our grandma to the oldest sibling's family until the youngest's family had to line- had to line up, take the pails in the bucket, fill them with water and pour it over their heads 21 times.

Overall, it was a fun experience that will never be repeated ever again because apparently this is a one-time only thing. Yes I was cold after the whole ordeal, but lucky for me, THE COLD NEVER BOTHERED ME ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ( nah just kidding, I was just glad I got to try out something new ).

5. Angpaus, angpaus and more angpaus.

6. In the midst of writing this post, my mum called us kids to go downstairs to drink "bubur cha cha", a sweet drink that has carrots, yams and sweet potatoes in it.

Only 2 words is enough to describe the taste of the bubur cha cha: sickeningly sweet. It is so sweet to the point where I fear that if I drink another bowl I might end up with diabetes. After I finished my bowl of bubur cha cha, I immediately took out my water bottle to cleanse my palate.

Unfortunately, the after-taste of the bubur cha cha still lingers.

WELL, that's it for now. Till my next post, bye!
