Update 15|09|2014

I.. am procrastinating right now. It's a bad habit, I know, but I can't help but be lazy especially on a holiday!

So some updates:

1: Exams are coming soon, I won't exactly say when because I'm scared that my mother is going to discover this blog and see the date and scold me for procrastinating when exams are just around the corner.

2: Last Wednesday, my English teacher asked us to act out scenarios of vanishing courtesy that is taking place in my country. We were to choose between acting out the courteous/discourteous side of people in our country on Thursday. Believe me when I say that I wasn't surprised to see the majority of us act out the discourteous side of our country because apparently it's hard to come up with scenarios of people being courteous to each other. Take my group for example, my group-mates and I initially planned on acting out the courteous side of our fellow citizens but after 10 minutes of coming up with nothing, we decided to switch sides. In the end, it took us 5+ minutes to think of the scenario we were going to act out. So what I'm trying to say is that it's true that it's easier to think of negative points than positive points because us humans tend to remember the negatives rather than the positives.

3: Yesterday-which was a Sunday- my family and I went to a shopping mall to eat lunch. We went to a Japanese restaurant. When we were in the restaurant, we sat horizontally-like, the kind of seats in front of the conveyor belt that has sushi on it- and I sat at the end of the table. A few minutes later, a couple sat down in the seats that were vertical to ours- imagine a flipped side of the letter "L", yeah that's how the seats were aligned(?)- and the waiter already placed menus on the table prior to them sitting down. Once they sat down, they briefly flipped open the menu, decided what they'd wanted and closed it and waited for the waiter to come and take their order. When no one came, the lady got so frustrated that she raised her hand to grab their attention and succeeded in doing so. Once the waiter approached the couple, the woman-her tone full of sass- goes: " So I guess no one wants to serve us right? " and proceeds to list out the food she wanted to order.
So there I was on my phone, pissed as ever at how rude the couple was to the waiter all the while trying to keep a straight face. I mean, they LITERALLY JUST SAT DOWN and briefly flipped through the freaking menu! Immediately I thought they must've been regulars because who the hell sits down and instantly knows what they want to order after a couple of page flips and say, a minute or 2. Hey lady, maybe the reason why the people working their didn't hound you with "can I take your order?" type questions over and over again is because they wanted to give you and that worthless lover of yours some time to figure out what you wanted to eat before disturbing your train of thoughts? How the hell is someone supposed to know that you're probably a regular and that you already know what you wanted to eat the minute you sat down? It's not like you had a sign that says "HEY I'M A REGULAR CUSTOMER" in bright neon lights over your head or anything, am I right?

I really, really dislike it when people take the people who serve them for granted and treat them as if they are lower than them, as if they aren't human and don't possess human emotion. Just because they are serving you and you're the customer doesn't mean that you have every right to order them around and treat them like they're your dogs or something. Imagine if someone treated you like that, would you like it? No, you wouldn't! So before you do that to someone else, use that thing inside that head of yours-it's called a brain fyi and you're supposed to use it- and THINK before you act.

I had to get that off my chest because these people are just the most horrible creatures I have had the displeasure of meeting that day and it sickens me to have to sit next to them and act like I'm okay with them being rude to the waiter. I hope I never bump into them ever again.

So yeah, that's it for the updates I guess. I went to Ipoh 2 weeks ago and it was amazing but there's no way I can fit the entire trip into a blog post and I can't seem to remember all of the events that had transpired so I may not write about it... I don't know, it depends.

Until my next post, bye!
